Boeing Whistleblower Found Dead

John Barnett, the former Boeing employee and whistleblower who publicly raised doubts about Boeing's production standards was found dead on March 9th, according to officials.

He was found dead of a 'self-inflicted gunshot wound' in his vehicle in a carpark just a few days after being cross-examined by Boeing lawyers and his own attorney.

Of course, the conspiracy theories are running wild.

Eric Carmen Passed Away

Eric Carmen, lead singer of The Raspberries and known for his hits like All By Myself and Hungry Eyes passed away at the age of 74.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen,” a post on his website says. “Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep, over the weekend.”

Utah State Women's Basketball Coach Fired Before Press Conference

The head coach of the Utah State Women's Basketball team, Kayla Ard, announced during a post-game press conference that she's no longer employed by the school.

The question was about rebuilding next season, to which she responded "I'm not gonna be rebuilding. I just coached my last game with Utah State. I just got off the phone with Dianna, and they're going in a different direction and I respect her decision. I hope they get a really good coach in. I assume that's gonna be the last question."

This means that she got fired between the game and the press conference.

Automakers and Insurance Companies Are Sharing Driving Behaviors

 

A guy from Seattle named Kenn Dahl had his insurance jump 21% for his 2022 Chevrolet Bolt, with high quotes from other agencies. His agent told him his LexisNexis report was a factor.

"LexisNexis is a New York-based global data broker with a “Risk Solutions” division that caters to the auto insurance industry and has traditionally kept tabs on car accidents and tickets," the NY Times reports.

After requesting the report, he found that the company had tracked over 640 trips with the start and end times, distance driven, and level of aggression used with braking and acceleration as well as any accounts of speeding.
