Turns out, there's a pumpkin for everything.
We use pumpkins, both real and fake, for so much this time of the year. We carve them, we decorate with them, and we most certainly cook with them.
Now that ~aesthetics~ are super in because of Instagram, a lot of porches are getting covered in white pumpkins, tan squash, and maybe a few orange pumpkins. Some are getting painted to match whatever the paint scheme is but those specific colors have meanings.
For example, if you see a half-carved orange pumpkin on a doorstep, it likely means the parent really did try to get the kid to carve a pumpkin before giving up and turning on "Bluey".
But really, when kiddos come to your house on Halloween night to get their annual candy haul, you need to pay attention to the color of their trick-or-treat pumpkin. If it's a certain color it could mean something that you need to know.
Likewise, if your neighbors put out green or pink pumpkins, that could also be a signal of what they have going on in their lives.
