2026 Iowa City Savannah Bananas Game

Choreographed dances, tricks, props, and lots of laughs..."The Greatest Show in Sports" is headed back to Iowa this year!

Last October, many Iowans (including us!) were excited to see that the Savannah Bananas would be returning to the Hawkeye State for not one, but TWO games in 2026. We were especially excited that the game would be held in Iowa City this time, a much closer drive than Des Moines.

Like many of you, we signed up for a chance to buy tickets to the game (that's how in-demand they are!)... then completely forgot about it. Luckily, the Savannah Bananas have sent out a couple of updates regarding tickets, with the most recent arriving on Tuesday afternoon, January 6th. In case you missed it, here's what you need to know:

Have Tickets Gone on Sale Yet?

Nope!

If you signed up for the ticket lottery back in October, you're all set. The email reads:

"Because these events are later in the year, you will get updates regarding the lottery drawing for Iowa City in late March of this year. You are exactly where you need to be! You have not missed anything!"

The email also confirms the address you signed up for the lottery under, and lets you know that you can't make any changes to your email or city of interest.

If you haven't seen any updates come through, you may want to check your junk folder or one of your other email addresses that you could've registered with, just to be sure.

Can I Still Sign Up For the Lottery?

Unfortunately, no. The lottery closed back on Halloween 2025. But, you can sign up to receive information about future tours HERE. While this won't give you an opportunity to buy tickets for the already-announced games, it will "get you in the know" for next time.

The email from the Savannah Bananas also warns about buying tickets from unofficial sources. It reads:

"You may see some tickets listed on secondary ticket markets. We do not recommend that you purchase tickets from these sites as we cannot guarantee that these tickets are authentic. The only authentic tickets are purchased via our Banana Ball Ticket Lottery on Fans First Tickets."

When/Where Are the Games?

The Savannah Bananas will be coming to Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th, 2026! Both games begin at 7 p.m. You can check out this season's lineup of players in the post below:
