The Iowa Hawkeyes have a bye this week in college football. It comes at a good time, as the team is coming off a tough loss against Indiana and is nursing some rough injuries, including starting quarterback Mark Gronowski. But lurking on the horizon is a showdown with rival Wisconsin.
When is the Iowa vs Wisconsin Game?
Hawk Central reports that Iowa will travel to Madison to play the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday, October 11th. The Hawkeyes are 3.2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin is 2-2 overall and plays Michigan on October 4th before hosting Iowa. The Badgers haven't looked good in their losses to Alabama and Maryland.
Who Has the Edge in This Year's Game?
Iowa has had Wisconsin's number recently. Hawk Central reports that Iowa crushed the Badgers 42-10 in Iowa City last year. They escaped Madison with a 15-6 win in 2023. The winner of the annual matchup gets the Heartland Trophy, which currently resides in Iowa City.

According to Hawk Central, the Iowa versus Wisconsin game will kick off at 6 p.m. on October 11th. The game will be televised by FS1.
After the battle with the Badgers, Iowa will have three straight home games. Hawk Central reports that Iowa will host Penn State, Minnesota, and Oregon, with one more bye week coming between the Minnesota and Oregon games.
