
Caitlin Clark Earns MVP Honors at FIBA Women’s Tournament
It had been eight months since Caitlin Clark had played in an officially sanction basketball game. But when she took the court in the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament, it didn't take her long to prove again that she is among the best basketball players in the world!
Caitlin Clark Named FIBA Tournament MVP
Hawk Central reports that Caitlin Clark helped lead Team USA to an undefeated record in the World Cup qualifying tournament, and played some great basketball in the process! And lets be honest. This team USA roster was stacked! Clark finished the tournament averaging 11.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. She shot 53% from the field, including 37% from three-point range, according to Hawk Central. She did all that while primarliy coming off the bench for team USA. All of that earned her MVP honors.
Clark Passes an Important Test
Clark spent much of last season battling nagging injuries for the Indiana Fever. The World Cup Tournament provided her with a great chance to see where her game was headed into the 2026 WNBA season. With her performance in Puerto Rico, it appears that Clark is back to full health and ready to hit more logo threes!
