An Eastern Iowa brewery is bringing back a favorite beer from the now-closed Peace Tree Brewing in Knoxville, Iowa! According to an announcement from the brewery on social media, Backpocket Brewing has acquired Peace Tree Brewing Company's "celebrated brands," including the award-winning Blonde Fatale.

Peace Tree Brewing officially shut down operations this past summer after 15 years in business. A June social media post from the company said, "we're so grateful for our amazing production team, however they will be transitioning to roles outside of Peace Tree." They shut their doors on August 10th.

Backpocket Brewing, which is based out of the Iowa River Landing in Coralville, was officially established in 2012. They have four 'Core Beers,' including Slingshot, Gold Coin, Murderhorn, and Bubba Hazy IPA, and now, they'll be adding some of Peace Tree's iconic beers to the lineup! The first one they'll be bringing back is Blonde Fatale. The announcement reads:

"Blonde Fatale was awarded a gold medal at the 2014 World Beer Cup and in 2023 was recognized by Untappd Community Awards as the #3 best Belgian-style blonde ale beer crafted in the United States. Known for its exquisite blend of flavors and consistent quality, Blonde Fatale is set for a grand re-entry into the market, inviting both loyal fans and new enthusiasts to experience it once again."

According to Backpocket, Blonde Fatale will be available in mid-November, so fans of the beer don't have to wait long! They plan to bring back other Peace Tree Brands in the future. In addition to the location in Coralville, the Des Moines Register notes that Backpocket also has taprooms in Dubuque and Johnston.
