Adventureland’s Phantom Fall Fest Kicks Off This Weekend

Spooky season is arriving early at Adventureland in Altoona! On Saturday, September 20th, the park will reopen for its annual Phantom Fall Fest!

Here's a rundown of everything you need to know for Phantom Fall Fest 2025:

Dates & Times

Adventureland's Phantom Fall Fest is open Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 20th. The final day of the festival is Sunday, October 26th. The park hours are:

• Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sundays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Haunted Houses & Scare Zones

Phantom Fall Fest has five haunts and four scare zones in 2025. This year's new addition is a haunt called Spell Keeper, which the website says is Phantom Fall Fest's "most intense haunt ever." It's located near the ferris wheel at the front of the park. The description reads:

"Step into the all-new maze of mayhem and feel the despair. The Spell Keeper has escaped the abyss where he is condemned for defying the ancient order. Now he’s on a mission for revenge, and the more souls he steals the more power he wields. Try your escape through chambers filled with spirits of those who came before. If these walls could talk, they’d be screaming."

Returning haunts in 2025 include:

• mALICE in Wonderland
• CarnEvil
• Cornstalkers
• Spirits of the Swamp

The four different scare zones you can enjoy this year are:

• Deadsville
• Nordic Nightmare
• The Fallen
• Hellbillies

Daytime Activities

Not everything at Phantom Fall Fest is scary! Guests are encouraged to come before 6 p.m. for some early, family-friendly fun. Here are some of the daytime activities on the 2025 schedule:

• Trick or Treat Trail
  • Four stops along Main Street
  • Happens daily from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Bubble Dance Party (With a DJ)
  • Located on the Boulevard
  • Happens daily from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (on the hour every 30 minutes)
• Pumpkin Painting
  • Located at Oink's 
  • Happens daily beginning at noon (while supplies last)
• Scary-oke
  • Located at Oink's
  • Happens daily from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Kids' Costume Contest
  • Located at Oink's
  • Happens daily at 2 p.m.
• Scream Contest
  • Located at Oink's
  • Happens daily at 3 p.m.

Park Rules/Policies

If you're planning a visit to Phantom Fall Fest, there are several policies that you should be aware of before purchasing a ticket:

• Chaperone Policy
  • Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21+ - there's a limit of four minors per chaperone
• Entrance/Bag Policy
  • Each guest is permitted one bag with a maximum size of 8” x 5” x 2”
  • Adventureland reserves the right to inspect all guests' bags
  • Guests must pass through a weapons detection system upon entry
• Mask/Costume Policy
  • Masks and face paint are NOT permitted after 6 p.m.
  • Ages 13+ are NOT permitted to wear costumes at any time
