First and foremost I totally agree with going to Kingston Mines for blues, it is a terrific place on the north side of the city. Chicago is great for a quick unplanned trip because there is so much more to do than they listed, there is the riverwalk, Navy Pier, Millenium Park, the Lincoln Park Zoo, going to the John Hancock or the former Sears Tower, plus all the theatre, and comedy at The Second City, and I haven't even started talking about the food scene in Chicago!
