As is the case every time this event takes place, some more idiots have been injured at this year's "Running of the Bulls" in Spain.  This is where runners dash along with six bulls down a narrow 930-yard course from a holding pen to Pamplona's bull ring.  Bull runs are a tradition at many of Spain's summer festivals, with Pamplona's being the most famous.  Pamplona's 9-day fiesta attracts tourists and includes street parties and drunken imbeciles getting trampled and gored by bulls... in other words, it's a hoot!

The annual fiesta (Festival of San Fermín) in Pamplona was made famous in Ernest Hemingway's 1926 novel, The Sun Also Rises. Ol' Ernie liked to drink, but he never got drunk enough that he actually ran with these pissed-off, 1,200-pound horned beasts!  I was shocked that less than 20 people have died in gorings since 1924. You would've thought a lot more drunken hooligans would've gotten it up the ol' cornhole!  Personally, I don't feel too bad for those who get injured and sometimes die... I don't think we're losing any scientists here.
