Is There A Nude Beach In Iowa?

I had a friend in town from Minneapolis the other day, and she asked me a very weird question. She said, "Hey Jimmy, is there a nude beach here in the great state of Iowa?" I'll be honest, I was shocked. I told her I had no idea, but I would try and find out. (Cue the awkwardness)

Like all of us, I went straight to Google to find the answer to her question. As far as it looks, there isn't a nude beach here in the great Hawkeye State. I did stumble upon a possible "nudist colony" in the Spirit Lake area, but nothing confirmed at this time.

My friend may have asked me as a joke, but it made me think: What if we had a nude beach here in Iowa? Would you go to a place like that? What would an Iowa nude beach look like, and is something like that even legal?

I think it takes a "special" kind of person to be into something like a nude beach. This kind of thing isn't for everyone, I think we all know that.

If you're wondering, I have never visited a nude beach and probably never will. I'm just not that kind of guy. You see, I don't have a gold chain, lots of chest hair and a white robe...it just would't work.

But that's just me, I'm sure there is a lot of people out there that would take part in something like this, and it's all good. Do what makes you happy! It may be a little weird, but who cares.

So, if there was a nude beach in Iowa, would you go? Would you be embarrassed or walk in with your head held high? (No pun intended, I promise)
