Iowa Mom Guilty of Starving Daughter to Death
In an absolutely appalling case of neglect and intentional harm, a West Des Moines mother is going to spend the rest of her life behind bars.
The criminal trial of Nicole Finn has ended with the Iowa jury finding her guilty of first degree murder in the starvation death of her teenage daughter. She was also convicted of kidnapping and child endangerment.
According to CBS2 News, Finn's ex-husband Joe Finn wasn't living with the rest of the family when Natalie died. He has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, neglect or abandonment and child endangerment. His trial will begin Jan. 8.
The adopted daughter, 16 year old Natalie Finn weighed just 85 pounds when she died of starvation in October 2016.
It sickens us to think that such wicked, horrible people are among us in society.
The only solace in this case is the guilty conviction and the knowledge that Natalie Finn's three siblings will be spared from a possible similar fate.
