Iowa Needs a More Exciting Favorite Ice Cream Flavor
We vote with our tastebuds every day for a favorite something, right? Unless someone else dictates your every meal, chances are you find something you want to eat, and chances are that you have a favorite dish of some sort.
What about when it comes to dessert? Let me be far, far more specific: what about when it comes to ice cream?
Yell it out at your scream, your favorite flavor of the high calory frozen dairy treat is...
What did you yell out? Was it the same response as a majority of other Iowans? I ask because a new study just found our favorite flavor of ice cream in the Hawkeye State and, it's... it's... okay look, I love it too, but it is very basic.
According to the folks at Angi.com, our favorite flavor of ice cream is...
Vanilla.
Trust, basic, dependable, and even predictable. But I am not criticizing as, yes, vanilla is also my favorite flavor. Though I don't eat much ice cream (lactose issues), I do love the flavor of vanilla.
Vanilla is the favorite of 11 other states as well, including our neighbors in Missouri, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
Other popular picks were pistachio, a favorite in five states, Neapolitan, also five states, and cookies and cream which found its way into the fav slot for four states. Butterscotch and banana were picked by one state each. As, surprisingly, was rocky road.
