Iowa Hawkeye football fans are used to having to navigate various cable channels to see their favorite team play each season. Games might be seen on ESPN, FOX, or the Big Ten Network depending on the matchup and game time. But I suppose it was only a matter of time before a streaming service would get their hands on our beloved Hawkeyes. As if we don't have enough subscriptions during football season, Iowa football fans will need to subscribe to another.

According to HawkeyeSports.com, Iowa's first four games of the season are all set for times and TV networks.

  • September 2nd - Utah State - 11 a.m. on FS1
  • September 9th - @Iowa State - 2:30 p.m. on FOX
  • September 16th - Western Michigan - 2:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network
  • September 23rd - @Penn State - 6:30 p.m. on CBS

Nothing out of the ordinary with any of those TV networks. But things change the following week. HawkeyesWire reports that both the September 30th game against Michigan State and the November 4th game against Northwestern at Wrigley Field in Chicago will stream on the Peacock streaming service. Both games will be 2:30 p.m. kickoffs.

It was only a matter of time before more college football games would be sent to streaming services. The NFL has been doing games on Prime Streaming for several years. Hawkeye fans will need to make sure they're subscribed to Peacock, at least for two Saturdays this fall!
