Yes, it's the N.I.T. and not the NCAA Tournament. But the Iowa men's basketball team avoided a late-season letdown and defeated South Dakota Wednesday night 87-75 in front of an electric crowd in Iowa City.

It wasn't a sellout, but clearly, Iowa fans want to see more from this squad. And they'll get to Sunday as Iowa hosts T.C.U. in a second round game. Last night it was again Peter Jok and his amazing freshman teammates. Jok scored 20 points and Jordan Bohannon added 19 points and 11 assists. Tyler Cook went 8 for 8 from the field and finished with 18 points. And don't forget Isiah Moss who steadied the Hawks in the first half with his three point shooting. Moss finished with 16 points.

Jok and the rest of the Hawkeyes get another home game on Sunday night. Tip for their game against T.C.U. is set for 6:30 p.m. You can see the rest of the men's N.I.T. bracket HERE.
