Iowa City police are looking for a suspicious man who is suspected of performing "lewd acts" in public, as reported by female residents who say they witnessed the man on Tuesday August 21.

The first report occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Ronalds St.

According to the release, a woman reported that she saw a man standing by a red pickup truck in the 400 block of Ronalds St. The man was watching her while she was outside of her residence. She reported that she saw the man committing a lewd act.

The second incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. when according to the release, police received a second call of a man with a similar description acting suspiciously in the alley in the 1000 block of E. College St. A woman reported that the man was watching people and it was said he was possibly performing a lewd act. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the man.

The suspect was described as an African American male. One witness says the man on Ronalds St. was reported to have been wearing a gray shirt and sunglasses. Another witness said the man on College St. was reported as tall and thin and was shirtless.
