Very few things are creepier than a 'Peeping Tom', and Iowa City police are warning residents of someone performing indecent acts outside of windows and possibly taking pictures too.

The Daily Iowan reports that the Iowa City Police Department warned residents of reports of a suspect looking into the windows of female residents. In a press release released on Monday, police say that the man was seen performing indecent activities outside a window in one report, and in another incident, the flash of a camera was seen outside of a window.

The Daily Iowan says that police have responded to four reports of activity between October 22nd and 25th near the 300 block of South Dodge Street and the 500 block of South Johnson Street, The incidents all took place between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Victims have also reported seeing a red pick-up truck in the area. Witnesses describe the alleged suspect as a short male with a thin build, possibly in his early 20's.

Interim police chief Denise Brotherton told the Daily Iowan that there have been arrests concerning incidents of people peeping in windows in the past in Iowa City. Iowa City police are urging residents to lock your doors and windows at night, and close window coverings at night as well.

Police say that if anyone has security camera footage of any of the incidents, to review their recordings and contact police officials. A $1,000 reward has been offered for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
