Iowa City is Looking for 800 RAGBRAI Volunteers

The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa is coming up July 22nd through the 28th, and Iowa City will be hosting riders for the first time in over 40 years! City leaders are excited to welcome RAGBRAI back, but that doesn't mean there's not some hard work involved. According to KCRG, Iowa City is going to need about 800 volunteers to prepare for the big event. Those volunteers will be doing all sorts of different things, including emptying trash and handing out maps. The executive director of the Iowa City Downtown District told KCRG:

"It's important to make sure that people have an opportunity to participate and I think that's where a lot of the excitement has been about so far. How can we help? We want to be involved. We'll build on that."
