A pair of kayakers knew exactly how Jonah felt in the belly of the fish for a split second when they had a close call with a whale.

The two were paddling along, when a whale scooped them up into its mouth. It spit them out right away, because it didn't want none of that.

When temperatures drop in the Fall, nutrient rich cold water bring a high number of krill and sardines, which are eaten by whales, pelicans and sea lions.

Every year, the feeding frenzy that comes with the season change brings whale watchers to the area, some of who occasionally are knocked from their kayak.

Luckily for the kayakers, a stand-up paddleboarder was able to help them get back to shore.
