High Speed Chase In Iowa City

According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "A car chase early Thursday ended when a driver crashed into a ditch."

The man behind the wheel was 39-year-old Elder Rivera Fuentes. Iowa City police attempted to pull over Fuentes who was driving more then 25 mph over the speed limit. The chase ended after Fuentes crashed into a ditch near a creek close to Riverside Drive and Mormon Track Boulevard.

Police said the man showed signs of intoxication but refused a breath test. Fuentes is currently barred from driving until March 17th. He was arrested and faces charges of eluding, driving while barred, public intoxication and drunken driving.

It's pretty obvious Elder Rivera Fuentes should have just taken an Uber to get home Thursday morning.
