Hawks Get A Big Road Win Against Minnesota
The Iowa men's basketball team got a 58-55 win on Sunday afternoon against the Minnesota Gophers. It's never easy winning on the road, but the Hawks got it done today at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
Iowa was led by Luka Garza scoring 24. Garza points made the last 11 points of the game and was once again very impressive down the stretch. This guy has been a machine all year long and continues to deliver in the clutch.
Trailing by 8 points with about 5 minutes to go, Minnesota turned the ball over five times. Iowa capitalized on those mistakes and got the victory. It was a fun game to watch and it's a good time to be a Hawkeye fan!
The Hawks are back in action this Thursday, February 20th, when they face Ohio State at home starting at 6 p.m. You can catch all of the action on ESPN.
Let's hope for a big finish in March, Go Hawks!
