It appears we have our own version of Cinderella unfolding right before our eyes. Megan, Hairball, and some friends went out on the town to raise hell after Booze-A-Palooza wrapped up in Cedar Rapids over the weekend, and now Hairball needs help finding a girl he met.

Here's his story:

I'm looking for the girl in the black sweatpants.

We started off the night (Saturday, April 15th) at Rock Bar, for no reason other than we all wanted to see who could last longest on the mechanical bull. Of course, it wasn't me, but we all still had a blast. Last year when I went out with some of our friends from the Cedar Rapids stations, we ended up going to a place that was a club, but country themed.

It's called Hazzard County American Saloon, and I was all about it, so naturally, we ended up there again.

I've never been one to approach women, but this night was different. Someone caught my eye across the bar. We were in a club with a bunch of 20-somethings, so most of the women were dressed in party attire, but she caught my eye at first because she wasn't. In fact, she was wearing a navy blue sweater and black sweatpants.

She was 5 feet tall, with dark-rimmed glasses. I put together an artist's rendering of what she looked like. I'm not the best artist, but hopefully, this helps.

As the night went on and our group danced horribly to a bunch of country hits, I kept finding myself looking across the club at her. Megan and our friend Kerri kept telling me to just go talk to her, but I have no clue how to do that.

A few drinks and a shot or three later, Neon Moon came on, and for whatever reason, it was go time.

I got hyped up by our friend Anthony, and I walked across the bar and asked the girl in the black sweatpants to dance;

Hey, sorry, I don't know the right way to do this, but would you like to dance?

-Awkward Hairball

She said yes!

While the rest of the dance floor did some sort of slowed-down partnered line dance, the girl in the sweatpants and I did a two-step to a song about a bar for lonely people. Not the right song for a slow dance, I know. I also can't dance, and we laughed about how neither of us could. She said she attended school in Waterloo, so maybe there's some slim chance someone she knows listens to the morning show or will see this blog.

The song ended, and I thanked her, I high-fived her, and walked away. Yep, I'm that guy, the guy who high-fives. Her group left a few songs later - onto their next stop.

I'd like to see her again, only I didn't get her name.

I need your help. You don't have to know her or me, but a share of this might help me out.
