Gunfire Exchanged, Man Is Shot And Killed By Iowa Trooper
According to KCCI, "A man died Sunday after exchanging several gunshots with an Iowa State Patrol Trooper, the Iowa Department of Public Safety said in a news release."
The incident happened just west of Fort Dodge in the 2300 block of Carter Avenue. The shooting happened in the small community of Moorland. The town is located in Webster County, and has a population of just 169 people.
The Iowa State Trooper came upon what appeared to be a domestic dispute. Two people, a man and a woman, were arguing, and the man pulled out a gun. He fired at the trooper, but he missed. Several rounds were exchanged, and the suspect was shot and killed.
At this time authorities are not releasing the name of the victim or the trooper. This is a developing story, and we will continue to provide updates.
