Celeb Sighting Sparks Excitement at Carver-Hawkeye Arena

It's been a heck of a year for the Iowa Hawkeyes!

The women's team led by head coach Lisa Bluder are setting off for the Sweet Sixteen in the Division 1 NCAA basketball tournament. This matchup will take place in Albany with the #1 seed Hawkeyes take on the #5 seed Colorado.

Tipoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday, March 30th at MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

The team won their matchup on Monday, March 25th and had some big names in the audience.

NFL Legend Spotted in Carver-Hawkeye Arena

George Kittle was spotted with his wife Claire in Iowa City on Monday evening supporting the Hawkeyes.

Kittle played in a huge championship game himself this past year. He is the tight end for the San Fransisco 49ers. The team played in the most recent Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Unfortunately, the team ended up losing out on this title, but Kittle is rooting for his alma mater to bring home the gold this year!

This NFL star played for the Iowa Hawkeyes Football team from 2012-2016.

His Wife Has Iowa Roots Too!

Kittle started dating his wife Claire (Till) Kittle during their freshman year at the University of Iowa. The couple got married back in 2019, according to reports.

However, George isn't the only athlete in the relationship.

Claire actually played for the Hawkeyes Women's Basketball team when she was a student. She was averaging 1.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a forward, according to reports.

She played all four years of college, but unfortunately due to a knee injury, her hoops career ended in college.

Both of the Kittles were seen cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes as they fought to get to the Sweet Sixteen. George was spotted wearing his wife's old college jersey which was just a BIT too small for him.
