When you play Iowa, you know that Luka Garza is going to his. Thursday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arean Garza did just that. But it was the supporting cast that stepped up and led Iowa over Ohio State 85-76.

Garza, who could very well be the national player of the year in college basketball, had a game-high 24 points. But it was subs Cordell Pemsl and Bakari Evelyn that were the real story. The two came into Thursday night averaging 5.4 points per game between them. But Evelyn scored 15 and Pemsl chipped in with 9 to lead Iowa off the bench. It was Pemsl's best scoring night since November, and the first time Evelyn has scored more than 5 points at home.

The Hawkeyes improve to 19-8 overall, and 10-6 in Big Ten play. The win guarantees they'll finish no lower than .500 in conference play. Iowa is off until next week as they gear up to take on Michigan State in East Lansing next Tuesday.
