My favorite part of last night's KORN/Zombie/Scar The Martyr show at the Cell Center was hanging with Fieldy. The KORN bassist is the best. Last time KORN was in town [with Disturbed for the last show before renovation], Fieldy stopped into the Rock and Roll Skybox with the guys from this other band Stillwell. We jammed, had a great talk on the air and talked about his life and times as a rock star.

Yesterday we traded texts and, while he couldn't make it up to the station due to a video shoot, he promised we'd hang backstage and shoot the shat. He introduced me to "The Healer" in this photo and we talked about recovery, faith and family. Fieldy talked about how cool it was to have Head back for the attack after that long absence. "We aren't a band. We're brothers. It's great to have him back."

The show was tight, as a KORN show always is. Fieldy and Ray's rhythm section is so good. They were in the pocket all night. Stellar. Seems like these guys never really age. Takes me back to Shoots & Ladders and Blind from my earliest exposure to the band through "The Box" video music channel. See you next time around Fieldy. Thanks for another great hang.
