During the course of the pandemic, we've said to ourselves, hang in there! The day will come when we'll be allowed back in to our favorite places, like Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Well, for Iowa Hawkeye football fans, that day is coming this spring. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that the Iowa football program has announced that it will host two practices this spring and they will be open to Hawkeye fans.

The two spring practices will be held on April 17th and on May 1st, weather permitting. There will be a limit on capacity at Kinnick Stadium to 50% and masks will be required when entering. The Gazette reports that Iowa will also bring back the annual FryFest celebration on September 3rd, the day before Iowa's season opener against Indiana. The National Iowa Varsity Club will be celebrating the 2021 Hall of Fame class at the event as well.

The September 18th game against Kent State will be the Gold Game, where fans are encouraged to wear gold. It will also be Extra Yard for Teachers Day, celebrating teachers from around the state. Family Weekend is September 25th against Colorado State, and the America Needs Farmers Game is October 9th against Penn State. Homecoming this year is October 16th against Purdue, and the November 13th game versus Minnesota will honor the military. Senior day is November 20th against Illinois.

One thing is for sure, getting back inside Kinnick Stadium this fall will feel better than ever! GO HAWKS!
