[UPDATE 6/19 6 pm] Mackenzie Clayton's mother says the two have been found safe.

[ORIGINAL STORY] A couple from near Perry in central Iowa has gone missing and their family is hoping the public can help locate them.

A post on the Facebook page of Trisha Smith, Mackenzie Clayton's mother, says Mackenzie and Nick Clayton were last seen by a "reliable source" early Friday morning, June 14, when they left the home of Mackenzie's biological father on the north side of Des Moines. However, she also indicates they may have been seen a couple of days later. According to the post, "homeless people downtown say they left down there Sunday late or early morning Monday... fighting."

Little other information is available. I've included two additional photos from Trisha's Facebook post below. Anyone with information is asked to call (515) 631-2354 or (515) 601-4967.
