Additional Information

The Marion Heritage Center & Museum, in conjunction with the current national traveling exhibit of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, 'Through the Needle’s Eye', is offering a children's Make-It-and-Take-It embroidery class. Older kids will stitch a fox face pattern onto a small flag that can be waved in the Swamp Fox Festival Parade. Younger kids will lace a punch-holed card in a fox face shape and turn it into a flag they can also wave in the parade. From now through September 23rd, outside the museum, during regular business hours, children can lace a punch-holed fox face shape and turn it into a fox image to be in the Swamp Fox Festival Parade on Saturday, September 24th from 9:00 to 10:00 am. This class is offered at no charge. For further information or to reserve a spot, contact Director Lynette Brenzel by calling 319-447-6376.
