According to CBS2, "The National Weather Service has rated a tornado that destroyed several buildings and injured at least 10 people."

The tornado has been rated as a EF-3. Unless you're a meteorologist, that may not mean much to you. Just know that this was a very serious storm. The story noted the tornado had estimated peak winds of 144 miles per hour. Everyone in Marshalltown should be thankful there wasn't more damage done.

It's amazing only ten people were injured and nobody was killed. It was a pretty crazy day around Iowa. According to CBS2, "The National Weather Service says at least five tornadoes touched down on in Iowa on Thursday, including an EF-3 in Pella and EF-2 in Bondurant.

Please keep the people of Marshalltown in your thoughts and prayers. It will take a lot of community support and hard work to repair the damage that has been done.
