When we were kids, we raced outside at the first hint of dusk on Halloween. Never mind that the street lights weren't yet on, we had candy to collect - and a short window of time to get as much as possible.

Today, things are a little different. But kids are still the same. Given the chance to start early, it is the one chore they look forward to all year round: begging for candy.
