Eastern Iowa Native Honored With CMA Nomination
This eastern Iowa native has absolutely exploded in the music industry, since the release of her 2022 album, Raised. While her debut album, The Dream, helped get her foot in the door, Raised completely kicked the door down proving that Hailey Whitters is here to stay.
She received her first Grammy nomination in 2022 as a writer on the song Beautiful Noise. She won the 2023 ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year, and now she's received another incredible nomination to add to her ever-growing resume.
The Shueyville native, Haily Whitters has received her very first County Music Association nomination and it's a pretty big nomination. Hailey has been nominated for the 2023 New Artist of the Year!
CMA Nominees
Hailey Whitters along with Zach Bryan, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, and Megan Moroney have all been nominated. Talk about an incredible class of singers and songwriters to be nominated alongside. Each of these artists has had their own incredible moments this past year and every single one of them is deserving of this award...but we can selfishly hope this Iowan takes home the award!
Hailey will have just as good a chance as any of the artists to win and with her smash hit "Everything She Aint" recently becoming a Platinum-certified single, some might consider her the odds-on favorite. I think I know who Taste Of Country would pick for 2023 best new artist. At the end of 2022, Taste Of Country ranked Hailey's Raised album as the best country album released that year.
Hailey is currently based in Nashville but she recently shared on the Like A Farmer Podcast her dreams to one day buy a farm right here in Iowa.
I have no doubt that this will one day be a reality for Hailey, especially if she continues to be nominated for these incredible awards. You can find out if Hailey takes home the hardware on November 8th when the CMA awards air live at 7 p.m.
Not bad for a small-town girl from Iowa. Congratulations Hailey! Iowa will be rooting for you!
