We have another big Eastern Iowa winner and he kind of has a really cool name.

I'm not going to lie, I check the Iowa Lottery winners page probably a little too much and thought to myself the other day, "Dang, it's been a hot minute since anyone on our side of the state has won. What's the big deal?!"

Maybe my internal complaints brought the fella some good luck. I wish it was good luck for me but hey, beggars can't be choosers.

Blue Grass Man Wins Big With Iowa Lottery

A huge congrats to a man from Scott County on winning big by playing a scratch game with the Iowa Lottery.

Iowa Lottery officials announce that Jake West of Blue Grass won the fifth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "LUCK" scratch game.

If you're wondering which gas station he got his lucky ticket from, Jake purchased his winning ticket at BP, 235 N. Oak Lane in Blue Grass, and claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

LUCK is a $10 scratch game that features eight prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.05. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit ialottery.com.
