Eastern Iowa Fans Remember Tom Petty

Dear Friends,

It's been a sad few days across America, from the shocking events in Las Vegas to the loss of legendary rocker Tom Petty, who died at the age of 66 following cardiac arrest at his Malibu home on Sunday evening.

Hosting the KRNA Morning show solo is never an easy task, but one I faced on Monday as Jaymz Larson was out of town on a scheduled day off.

The outpouring of grief set in immediately, followed by more sadness later Monday afternoon as word of Tom Petty's imminent death hit the airwaves.

I wanted to share this short montage of calls we received from KRNA listeners that represent how Eastern Iowa fans feel about Tom Petty. It is proof that in times of crisis we rise above any differences we may have, to offer comfort to one another.
