Des Moines Zoo Welcomes Baby Giraffe [PHOTO]

Not too many babies are six feet tall and weigh 136 pounds at birth, but this one did.

A baby giraffe was born last Tuesday (12/6) morning at Blank Park Zoo, the eleventh one born at the Des Moines zoo since 1985. It's the first baby for a giraffe named Uzuri, who lost a calf during a 2001 pregnancy. This is baby Lizzy:
