We told you the good news about DanceMor Ballroom in Swisher reopening back in March. Now, we can tell you exactly when that's going to happen and who will be performing!

The historic venue, which dates to the early 1930's (if not the late 1920's--there's some debate), will open its doors again Friday, October 19. Yes, in less than three months!! The very first act to hit the stage will be Boot Jack Band.

They'll be followed on opening night by the classic rock band New Trick.

Saturday, October 20 it will be Two Buck Chuck first to the stage. They'll feature a variety of music, especially classic rock.

The night's second act is country band Lonesome Road.

If you love country music and classic rock, you're going to love DanceMor. One of the venue's new owners, Rebekah Neuendorf, tells me you'll hear a lot of those two types of music. Country beat classic rock 60 to 40 in a Facebook poll, but you'll see/hear a variety of musical genres at DanceMor.

The new DanceMor Ballroom will have a vintage 50's feel inside, but I'm sworn to secrecy beyond that. You'll be able to see it for yourself on October 19 and be sure to stop by during this weekend's Swisher Fun Days. There will be a beer tent in front of DanceMor, where you'll be able to reminisce about the past while looking forward to the future.
