Just a reminder for everyone that lives in Cedar Rapids, there is still a curfew here in the "City of Five Seasons."

The curfew is 10 p.m. and is lifted the next day at 6 a.m. The main reason for the curfew is for crews to be able to clear debris from the streets and side roads. I was out driving around today, and there is still plenty of clean up to be done.

I would imagine the other reason for the curfew is looting. There are many concerned business owners worried about their store fronts. The curfew should keep people off the streets and hopefully there will be no issues.

I spoke with a number of friends today that got their power turned back on. It sounds like crews are ahead of schedule and lets hope we can all be back on in the next few days.

I'm one one of those people with no power and it's starting to suck. Its been hot and that's the been the worst part.
