According to CBS2, "One person is dead following a chain reaction car crash on Friday afternoon in Johnson County."

79-year-old Jacob Yoder was trying to merge onto I-80 eastbound, when the vehicle he was driving experienced some mechanical issues.

Yoder tried to pull over before the exit, but the shoulder of the road was closed. Because his vehicle was driving so slow, it caused a crash that involved 6 cars in total.

The crash left one person dead. 52-year-old Morgan Rosenthal was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved and died from the incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Morgan Rosenthal.
