Cold Start To The 2017 Uptown Friday Nights
The opening weekend of Uptown Friday Nights was cold and gray, and the early indication is this Friday may be a little chilly again.
But there is something special about these end-of-week parties on the riverbank at McGrath Amphitheater.
Maybe its the low cover charge, the affordable drinks, the live local music...or all of the above.

Since 1988, Uptown Friday Nights is the place to gather with your friends after a long hard work week. Come relax and enjoy some great music by local and national bands at McGrath Amphitheatre, 475 1st Street SW in downtown Cedar Rapids.
Gates open at 5:30 pm, the bands start at 6:00 pm. It's a Rain or Shine event, and it runs all summer. All shows require you to be 21 or older so bring your Photo ID It's required and strictly enforced for all ages. Failure to produce an ID may result in no entrance to the event. I'm told the lawyers make them do that.
