City Circle Acting Company Announces Auditions for ‘Chess In Concert’

Another corridor stage is opening up an opportunity for actors and singers in the local area. The City Circle Acting Company has announced dates for auditions for its upcoming production of Chess In Concert. Auditions for the concert will be held November 17th (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) and 18th (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) at Coralville Community of Christ, 2121 Southridge Drive in Coralville.

According to the Facebook event page:

The story involves a politically driven, Cold War-era chess tournament between two men - an American grandmaster and a Soviet grandmaster- and their fight over a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.

Music for Chess In Concert is by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, formerly of ABBA, and lyrics are written by Tim Rice. The production is scheduled for Feb 9-11, 2018 and will be directed by Mark Baer.
