Very sad news this morning, as we learned Chris Cornell died last night at the age of 52. Chris Cornell fronted both Soundgarden and Audioslave. He was a one of the pioneers of Seattle grunge music.

According to the Detroit Free Press, "Police say the death is being investigated as a possible suicide." The article also noted he was found with a band around his neck. CNN reported, "A family friend found the musician on the bathroom floor at the MGM Grand hotel, Cornell was pronounced dead at the scene."

If it was a suicide, the question is why? What would make a person want to take their own life? How bad does it have to be for you to want to kill yourself?

Chris Cornell had a great career, a family, and ton of cash. But money and fame doesn't always buy happiness. He could have been very depressed and suffering mental problems. Depression doesn't discriminate, it affects all of us. He could have been messed up for years and thought this was the only way out. It's just a really sad story.

If you're depressed, get the help you need. Suicide is not the answer. Life will get better...it always does.

God bless the family and close friends of Chris Cornell....you will be missed.
