Chili Challenge This Sunday In Cedar Rapids

The Marriott in Cedar Rapids is the place to be this Sunday, February 9th.

It's the 20th Annual Blues 'N' Buffett Chili Challenge! The event will start at 1 p.m. this Sunday. It's a friendly challenge between the Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club and the Linn County Blues Society.

This year the event will raise money for the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy and the Henry Davidson Scholarship Program. Tickets are just $10 at the door and you get the opportunity to taste all of the great chili that will at be at this year's event.

Last year, the Challenge raised over $10,000 and we're all hoping for more this year. In the last 19 years in total, the two groups have raised over $128,000 for local charities. It's an awesome event and I'm hoping you can all check it out!

The Chili tasting will start at 1 p.m. and go till 4.

The Marriott is located 1200 Collins Road on the NE side of Cedar Rapids.
