Join the Metro Veterans' Memorial Council at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27 for their Memorial Day Service.

Originally scheduled at All-Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, it is now being relocated indoors due to weather forecasts including rain on Monday, to Veteran's Memorial Colisseum, 50 2nd Ave. Bridge in downtown Cedar Rapids.

The ceremony will feature a traditional program to include: Presentation of The Colors, General Logan's Orders, Placement of Wreaths, Service Song Medley and other musical selections, Special Guest Speaker Joe Stutler, Volley Salute and more.

Free street parking is available in downtown Cedar Rapids on the holiday, and the public is welcome to attend the event to pay tribute to our brave men and women, the soldiers and veterans, who have served and sacrificed, and whom we honor on this day.
