Cedar Rapids Man Launches Live Music App

Maxx Mitchell loves local live music. He loves it so much, he created a gig for himself by developing an App for all of us to utilize here in Eastern Iowa. It's called Iowa Live Music, and can be downloaded for free on Android or IPhone.

How many times have you heard your friends say, "There's nothing to do here in Cedar Rapids." Well, those days are over because now there's an "App for that!" Gone are the days of waiting for the Penny Saver to be delivered to your house with the same handful of things to do. The Iowa Live Music App has it all, and I mean everything!

Inside the App you will find 100's of things to do, here's a few of my favorites:

• Local Live Music: Check the calendar for local bands, musicians and venues large and small. Updated everyday, all year long.

• Happy Hour Deals: It's 5 o'clock somewhere, all the time on the Happy Hour Calendar. Whether you're a 3rd shifter or the regular 9 to 5, the App has all the info of where to go if you want to wind down after a long day.

• What's the Special Today?:You've heard about it on Facebook, and now it's a feature on the Iowa Live Music App. The food group phenomenon you've always dreamed of featuring new specials everyday of the week.

• Bar & Dining Directory: Browse the local eateries and watering holes to find your new favorite hangout. Get your business and menu plugged into the App and reach hungry locals looking for a place to eat.

• Family Fun & Recreation Area: Something for everyone in this part of the App. Movie times, local sports, performing arts, summer festivals and much more.
