If you're trying to sell your home in the Cedar Rapids area don't worry. It should sell quickly! Homes in Cedar Rapids are selling faster this spring and summer than they did just one year ago.

According to the Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors, homes in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, and Robins were on the market for an average of only 55 days this April through June. That's 13 days fewer than the same period last year and 33 days faster than 2013!

It continues to be a seller's market too. Home buyers are paying more for houses this year too. The median price in Cedar Rapids is $148,000, up 2.6% from last year. The average price of a home also went up to $177,500.

Despite the great sales numbers, fewer homes were sold in the area compared to last year. 1,013 homes were sold during the second quarter of this year compared to 1,045 last year.
