Sad news to report from last night's annual Holiday DeLight Parade in Downtown Cedar Rapids. According to The Cedar Rapids Gazette, "A door from a float fell on a boy who is believed to be 4 or 5."

It does appear the young boy is going to be okay. The Gazette story reports, "He was transported to a hospital with a non-life-threating injury."

I was in Downtown Cedar Rapids Friday night, the streets were packed. This is arguably the most popular parade all year in the Corridor. It helped that we had mild weather on Friday night.

You never want to hear about a story like this. Let's just hope this little guy can get back on his feet and start feeling better. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

KWWL Television reports, "According to Cedar Rapids Police, the person driving the float was cited for driving without a license, and authorities are waiting to release his identity.
