Call this another annual event we're crossing our fingers COVID-19 won't take from us this year.

The annual Cedar Rapids BBQ Roundup is back, but has a new name. It will now just be called "The Roundup" with still all the mouth-watering barbecue and food you've come to know and love. The event boasts some exciting music entertainment this year as well.

The event runs from June 25-27, according to KCRG. Tickets are now on sale through the McGrath Amphiteatre. The food court and entertainment section at McGrath Amphitheatre will be separated this year, so as to accommodate new pricing as follows:

  • $3 admission to the Food Court only
  • $10 for Food Court and Music Park entertainment
  • $40 for a VIP ticket which includes admission to the BBQ Food Court, Music Park with VIP reserved seating and private bar.

The entertainment lineup is stacked! Opening night, Thursday, June 25 features local bands who were selected for the Hazzard County Battle of the Bands competition.

Friday night, June 26 it's 70s greats Orleans and Pure Prairie League.

Saturday, June 27 is 80s night with Surf Zombies, A Flock of Seagulls and Men Without Hats.

Lunch will be free admission on Thursday and Friday.

We're hungry already.
