Carson King Foundation T-Shirts Raise Over $40,000
Iowa hero Carson King has once again raised a bunch of money for a good cause right here in the great state of Iowa.
According to KCCI, The Carson King Foundation announced Tuesday that it raised more than $40,000 to support mental health services for families and children in Iowa."
As you may know, King and his foundation were selling "Iowa Love" shirts on their Facebook page. The foundation partnered with The Shirt Shack and sold a bunch of t-shirts to folks in Iowa. The final tally was $40,793.80.
This money will be used to support organizations helping children and families effected by COVID-19. To read the full story from KCCI, you can visit this link.
I was able to hang out with Carson King and his family last November at the Bret Michaels concert in Cedar Rapids. This dude is the real deal. He's very laid back, he's got a huge heart and he really does care about the projects he gets involved with.
It's so crazy to think King and his fundraising efforts all started over a funny sign asking people to send money to his Venmo account for more beer. In the end, that little stunt went viral and raised over $3 million for UICH.
And now Carson King continues to give back with the Carson King Foundation. To learn more about all of the great things the foundation is involved with, click on this link.
Thanks Carson, the world needs more people like you.
