Carrie Brownstein is one of the premiere women in both comedy with her IFC series Portlandia and indie rock with her band Sleater-Kinney, and now, she's looking to add yet another dimension to her repertoire, as her autobiography, Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl, is set to be released on October 27 via Penguin.

Aside from the fascinating tale the book is sure to weave, the most interesting part of the book is its accompanying 11-date tour, during which Brownstein will be interviewed by a variety of prominent guests including Amy Poehler, the Roots' Questlove, Saturday Night Live’s Aidy Bryant, actress Gaby Hoffman, author Dave Eggers and more yet to be revealed. Her complete book tour schedule can be found here.

Following the book tour, Sleater-Kinney will get back on the road in support of their 2015 come-back album, No Cities To Love. Complete tour dates are available at the band's website. Earlier this year, Portlandia was renewed for two additional seasons following its first five.
