We all had our favorite bowling alley that we loved going to as a kid. This was the spot for many birthday parties, first dates, and random hangouts with your friends.

After a tumultuous few years, a beloved bowling alley unfortunately had to close its doors. Several years after the Waverly community said goodbye to the popular spot, there's been some surprising news!

The Waverly Bowl Inn is back, and according to the owner, it will be better than ever!

In early October, the Waverly bowling alley reopened for business. Located at 915 4th Street Southwest, the local institution closed up after facing a series of unfortunate events over several years.

According to a report done by the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier, one of the owners died in 2014, then a flood hit Waverly in 2016, and of course the cherry on top of it all was the COVID-19 pandemic which shut them down three years ago.

Zachary Beschorner, the owner of Maple and Cadillac Lanes and now the Waverly Bowl Inn, got the place up and running in October.

Until the team at the bowling alley are able to get their full menu squared away, the Waverly Bowl Inn will be open starting at 5:00 PM during the week and 12:00 PM on the weekends.

Appointments can be made for larger groups and parties as well.
