What You Need to Know About Bob Saget’s Canceled Iowa Shows
Over the weekend, sitcom star and everyone's favorite 90's father-figure Bob Saget passed away. Reports say that the actor was found by the local Sheriffs and fire department in his hotel room in Orlando.
Best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the hit sitcom 'Full House,' the comedian turned actor had an outpouring of love on social media from many of his co-stars from the show on social media when the news initially broke.
His television daughter Candace Cameron Bure, aka D.J. Tanner, shared an emotional response on Twitter on Sunday evening when the news broke.
"Bob was one of the best human beings I've ever known in my life. I loved him so much," Bure wrote.
Another heartbroken and "gutted" response from a member of the 'Full House' crew. Uncle Jessie himself John Stamos put out a message on social media once he found out about the news.
"I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby."
Simple but true. Dave Coulier who played Joey said it best with, "My heart is broken."
Before he became everyone's Dad, Saget actually got his start as a comedian. And his material was a bit...raunchy. It felt weird to hear such dirty jokes come out of the mouth of Danny Tanner. However, it still worked.
Saget was well respected in the stand-up community for his kindness and hilarious material.

He had wrapped up a 2 hour long set in Jacksonville the evening before he passed away. On the morning before his death, Saget posted a photo at the venue expressing his excitement to be back out again on tour.
"I'm happily addicted again to this..." the late comedian said.
Four of his shows were set to take place in Iowa. Venues in Dubuque and Sioux City were preparing for the comedian to perform this March. Saget had two shows scheduled in Dubuque on Friday, March 4th at 7 and 9:30 PM at the Diamond Jo Casino.
His show at the casino in the Mississippi Moon Bar obviously been cancelled.
Ticket sales for these shows have officially halted and those fans who did purchase tickets will be automatically refunded, according to the casino's website. Ticket holders with any questions should call 563-690-4754.
There is no word on the state of the Sioux City shows at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. While it is a given that these shows scheduled for March 5th at 6 and 9PM are cancelled, there has not been a confimation on whether tickets will be refunded.
After giving the casino a call, it looks like they won't know what the status of the tickets will be for several more days. We will keep you updated once an official statement comes out.
